WTR Remote Instruction Information for Future Snow Days

January 28, 2026

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to provide a quick update regarding snow days and how they will be handled moving forward this winter.

On Monday, January 26, we utilized our first snow day of the school year, which served as our traditional snow day. Students were able to enjoy the day off without any instructional expectations.

As a reminder, any additional snow days this school year will now shift to virtual learning days in order to maintain instructional continuity and the remainder of the school calendar.

On a virtual learning snow day, students will:

  • Follow their regular day rotation (Day 1–4)

  • Attend classes according to the normal school bell schedule

  • Participate in live instruction via Google Meet (cameras should be on during live instruction)

  • Access lessons and materials through Google Classroom, including their A-Block Google Classroom

Teachers will be present and available for the full class period, and attendance will be taken through Google Meet and recorded as it would be on an in-person day.

To help ensure a smooth transition on future virtual snow days, please make sure your child:

  • Is enrolled in all Google Classrooms, including A-Block

  • Knows how to access Google Meet for each class

  • Brings their Chromebook home daily, especially during winter weather season

We appreciate your flexibility and continued partnership as we navigate winter weather together. If you have any questions or need assistance with technology, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for your continued support of William T. Rogers Middle School.

Sincerely,

Dr. Joseph Pesqueira
