Kings Park Student Success
January 14, 2025
Dear Kings Park Community,
I am writing you today to share some exciting news that I recently received regarding the participation and achievement of our students.
ELA and Algebra results from 2024-2025
A few weeks ago, the New York State Education Department (NYSED) publicly released a series of student achievement data from the 2024-2025 school year. As you may have recently read in Newsday, Kings Park once again outperformed Suffolk County, Nassau County, Long Island, and New York State averages in English and Algebra. We continue to provide a high-quality education here in Kings Park, as evidenced by our student achievement.
AP School Honor Roll Progress Report – College Board
Additionally, Kings Park High School recently received their AP School Honor Roll and Progress Report (2025) from the College Board. I am happy to report that KPHS earned Silver recognition for “College Culture,” Gold recognition for “College Credit,” and Platinum recognition for “College Optimization.”
College Culture is the percent of students in the graduating class (Class of 2025) who took an AP exam in high school regardless of score.
College Credit is the percent of students in the graduating class (Class of 2025) who scored 3+ on any AP Exam in high school.
College Optimization is the percent of students in the graduating class (Class of 2025) who took 5 or more AP Exams in high school, where at least one exam was taken in 9th or 10th grade.
Thanks to the hard work, help, and support of many, Kings Park remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family!
Enjoy the rest of the week and the upcoming three-day holiday weekend.
